BriSCA F1 Team #100
Stock Car Racing
Brisca Formula 1
Where it all began…
Brisca F1 Stock Car Racing runs in the Smith blood with James’s dad Harry Smith #219 and #100 being a famous F1 driver for many years leaving a family legacy for James to carry on and James’s Uncle Harvey being a former driver of #368. Harry James’s dad was sadly killed in the prime of his F1 career.
The start of the Brisca Formula one stock car racing journey started for James when he was just a boy assisting his dad in the workshop repairing after races or preparing for a race. It seems the engineering gene / stock car gene has carried on to James who runs his own successful Heavy Equipment Engineering business employing a team of engineers and having built this up over a number of years from just being one man in a van.
James has never been able to afford to peruse his own F1 career up until now but has long awaited the chance.
If you come to a meeting please come to the race wagon for a cupper and natter with the team.
James had a fair rubbish season with only 4 meetings complete and 1 meeting with a guest driver! We had a lot of car problems, a blown engine and then a dislocated shoulder at Bradford……putting his race overalls on!!
Since 2022 James was too busy in 2023 with work and racing in rally/comp safari where he won the 2023 class championship with NORC and sold the stockcar.
James is happy to be having another go in 2024 in Mark Gilbanks car for a few meetings in-between racing rally
Passion & Drive
Working with friends & Colleagues
Harry Smith was a famous driver for many many years on the F1 track and had made some friends for life. Now James has got the means to carry on what his Dad started and get into the scene once more. A passion he has longed to pursue for many years but never had the means to do so until now and he has definitely taken the leap and gone into this 100%. What makes the journey special to James is that he is able to work on the car with his colleagues/ employees and friends and enjoy the experience.
James has decided to document his journey into this motorsport by creating a Youtube channel and Facebook Page check them out below.
