Northern Plant & Machinery Ltd was established by James Smith who is apprentice trained and has 25 years’ experience in the heavy plant and machinery engineering trade. Having started as one man and a van operation with nothing but some tools and a pair of overalls and now having a team of engineers and a fleet of vehicles James has worked relentlessly hard to build his business to what it is today and will continue to drive it forwards with new recommended clients joining us daily.

The Northern Plant & Machinery Ltd team have a huge passion for the industry and are renowned for not only their experience but their great banter and team spirit wile working to a high standard and in a safe and professional manor.

Our team have kept many customers operating to complete their projects across the UK and Overseas. We have also assisted the day to day running in scrap metal processing, waste management, recycling, quarrying, aggregates, crushing and screening, demolition, Port Services and projects to include biomass, shredding, mulching, chipping, paper and plastics.
